Alright, here's
The Story
Michael & Arielle met in 2018 at the start of Leeds International Summer School. They met because of 2 people, a random girl named Taylor dropping out of Leeds 3 weeks before the trip resulting in a spot opening for Michael & because of Arielle's mom pushing her to go to Leeds after thinking about it for months. While the trip did result in Arielle's lowest university grades of her career they hit it off right away.
Across the world from each other they stayed in contact until Autumn of 2019 (or Spring if you
live in a different part of the world) when Michael booked a trip to Canada for Christmas. Despsite losing his
passport days before his flight (bad omen?) and then the airline losing his luggage upon arrival on Christmas
Eve (double bad omen) the trip went very well. Unfortunately both had to return to regular life in January of
2020 and a cancelled trip in March 2020 due to covid led to the joys (ha ha Sad) of long distance relationships.
In 2021 Michael and Arielle reconnected and began talking to each other everyday as he was her rock as she moved to a new city for her career. Talking everyday for hours while working around the time zones brought them closer than ever before. Leading to Michael moving to Canada on December 11, 2021. The first time seeing each other in-person in 700 days! Since being reunited Michael & Arielle have joined a rowing team, hiked many mountains and learned how to ski. They have bought many things for their apartment that Arielle didn't want but has come to love (couch) and come to hate (PS5).
Michael and Arielle are grateful (almost) everyday to be together and to have had opportunities
to meet and spend time with each of our families. We are beyond excited to have our families all together for
our wedding and are happy you will be apart of our day.
